Jan van der Black is an Actor and Writer originally from Lancashire, England. A professional performer for over 35 years, and with over a dozen stage and screen writing credits, Jan has a vast amount of experience in the industry.
As Polymorph’s resident producer, he’s responsible for getting Polymorph’s annual Edinburgh Fringe trip together and for writing the shows.
Since graduating from drama school in the mid 1980s he has appeared on stage in everything from fringe theatre to the west end, and on screen in everything from webseries to Netflix series and mainstream cinema.
In 2010, Jan returned to full time training for 5 years, gaining a BA with First Class Honours in Contemporary Screen Acting, and an MA with Distinction in Acting from the University of East London.
